In the name of God, the Clement, the Merciful.
                    May God's blessing be upon Seydina Mohamed.
                    Praise be to God, may His blessing and peace
                    be upon God's messenger.

            Here is Limamu Laye the well-known and noble saint who exhorts to do well, advises against evil and greets all his disciples who believe in God and His messenger and have seized the strong rope of God, and who tells them : "may peace and God's mercy be upon you".

            I pay tribute for the favour He has given you. He is the Lord out of whom there is no other sovereign deserving a cult. The aim of this sermon is to greet you and inquire about your well being, your security, your families and  households.

            I remind you of what you are. I address you my sincere greetings and ask you how you practise the cult to God, how seriously you manage your business and families. I order you to practise what God and His messenger order you to do and I forbid you to do what they have prohibited.

            I would have you know that Seydina Mohamed (may God's blessing and peace be upon him) was born in Mecca and he received his mission as God's messenger from there. He had found a religion that he annihilated and he implanted Islam which is the just religion of God. Whoever believes  in Islam and carries out its prescriptions will be saved. Whoever taxes it of lies will fall from grace. The master of these times (Saydu Haza Zamane) has come. There are differences(of religious conceptions) between him and learned people, and these ones have rejected him. However he calls to God and religion with righteouness. Whoever follows him and attests the truthfulness of his mission is entering the good path, but whoever taxes his mission of lies will fall from grace.

            I would have you know that religion must be practised by adults and young people, men and women.You have read what God the Almighty has said : To men and women dedicated to God, to believers men and women, to pious persons of both sexes, to just people of both sexes, to people who bear everything with patience, to men and women who fear God, to those who give alms, who fast, who are pure and remember God every time, to these men and women, God has promised forgiveness and huge rewards.

            Knowledge is useful only when coupled with religious practice and a belief in and fear of God. If not it is useless. Knowledge is very useful when you have a God-fearing heart. Be zealous in your observances om for God's religion. As for us, we have not to wage a holy war, I only invite you to go to war against the passions of the soul(jihadu Nafsi).

            This war consists in dominating, as far as you can, all the parts of your bodies and practising religious observances as ordered by God.

             I don't ask you to give me your riches, I don't ask you either to give me your means of getting rich. But I ask you what belongs to God, which is an imperious commandment of God, compulsory to you, I mean the payment of Zakat.

            God has ordered the full and timely payment of Zakat whoever deducts from it a portion even as small as an atom will have to pay it back the day when having children or riches will be without any use. You must neither eat nor drink what you have to pay for Zakat. You must rather give it as alm. And that day the soul could not do anything for itself.

            Whoever has thanks to God got a religious guide who gives him good advice and forbids him to do evil must pray God and His messenger and thank that guide.

            I would have you know that Zakat belongs to God. Whoever fulfils it correctly will receive full payment. Whoever deducts a portion from it, or spends it for something else has committed a sin. Be zealous, fear God sincerely, and worship him as He has ordered. Be one of those who are practising religious observances with purity. A messenger of God has no other duty but to transmit, and I have transmitted.

            Whoever hears the call and answers it is doing good; whoever hears it and turns away will have only done wrong to himself.

            It is a duty for adults to order children, women and slaves to practise religious observances. These practice being important, you must look over your animals to prevent them from doing wrong to people. Be clement as far as the needs of your wives in food and clothes are concerned, and avoid inflicting prejudices on them.

            I have come to know that some of you, Layenes, have quarreled with disciples of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and with other people. These people and you are all muslims and only brotherhood must exist between you. Hatred and inimity should not exist between muslims. You must know that religion is generosity, love and mutual aid.

Polemic and disputes are forbidden in religion. Depreciating, slandering one another, and rivalry are equally forbiddens in religion.

Don't try to outdo one another except in righteousness and fear of God. Each muslim must follow his guide, follow his advice and copy his qualities.

Don't put this world in front of you, leave it behind you.

When you receive this message, read it between yourselves and between muslims who are present.

When you get together, do it with a pure heart and unite your hearts for the sake of God and His messenger.
