Spokesman of the General Caliph
Son of the Promised Messiah Sayidina Issa Ruhu Lahi (P.O.H.), grandson of the Promised Mahdi Sayidina Limamu Lahi (P.B.O.H.) he is their ambassador to the African diaspora throughout the world. He travels form Fez to Paris, from Rome to Harlem in Network wherever he can find exiled African communities, trying to give back their identities to those who had lost them between Goree and slave ships .
He was appointed spokesman of the Layene community by his brother Sayidina Abdulahi Thiaw when he succeeded to Sayidina Mame Al Hassan Lahi as the 4th caliph.
His training began in Camberene where he learnt the Holy Quran with the well-known teacher Serigne Ibrahima Seck . Then he went to Kherewan University in Morocco in 1964 to pursue theological studies.
After his studies he travelled through the world telling people about the advent of the Promised Mahdi his grandfather and the return of the Messiah, son of the Virgin Mary, his father. He held series of conferences in Senegal and abroad in France, Italy, Spain and USA. Everywhere he goes, he calls people to unity, religious tolerance, dialogue between different religions and different cultures. He won the sympathy of religious and non-religious organisations; In Rome Catholic churchmen assist at the conferences that he holds every year for the Layene community in Italy. He is an idol and a faithful companion for the Layene youth whom he has organised into a vast international movement Farlu ci dineji (perseverance in religious practices) which he supervises and sustains and which has become a precious instrument for the ummah. He has also organised the women into a big association with national and international divisions called wagnu Sayidina Issa Ruhu Lahi (the kitchen of S.I.R.L) which takes in charge the restoration of guests during the big ceremonies organised by the Layene community such as annual celebrations, conferences, etc... |
